What Is Olive Oil?

Olive Oil is extracted from green or black olives. Most of the production comes from the dry Mediterranean region.

HOW IS OLIVE OIL EXTRACTED?

Olives come from olive tree plantations in the dry, rocky slopes of Spain, Italy, and Greece.

Olives are pitted and grounded to extract the oil.

100 grams of raw olives contain 10 to 30 grams of fat that is turned into olive oil.

It takes up to  8000 olives to make 1 liter of Olive Oil.

Olive Oil is the cooking oil with the highest CO2 emissions - 5 times Peanut Oil.
