Smoothie de espirulina
Ingredientes
- 1 grande Banana Congelada - peeled, cut in chunks, and frozen the day before
- ½ xícara Manga Congelada - or frozen pineapple
- ½ Abacate maduro - núcleo
- ½ xícara Espinafre bebê - 0.7 oz
- 1 – 1 ¼ xícara Leite de amêndoa - or plant-based milk of choice
- 1 colher de chá Spirulina em pó - green spirulina or use blue spirulina for a neutral, no fishy flavor
- 1 colher de sopa Sementes de cânhamo - or chia seeds
- 1-2 colheres de chá Maple Syrup - or a pinch of stevia powder
- ¼ colher de chá de extrato de baunilha
Instruções
- In a high-speed blender, add all the ingredients in the order listed above, starting with 1 cup of almond milk.
- Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy. If it's difficult to blend, add more almond milk, up to 1/2 cup extra.
- Taste and adjust, adding more sweetener for a sweeter smoothie or a few ice cubes for a frothier texture. Blend again to combine after each addition and serve immediately.

- Banana Congelada – A large fresh banana, peeled and cut into pieces the day before. Place in the bag in the freezer to freeze overnight. You can also use fresh bananas, but the smoothie won’t be as thick and creamy.
- Manga Congelada – or frozen pineapple.
- Abacate - Abacate adds healthy fatty acids to the smoothie. Make sure you use a ripe avocado without dark spots on its flesh to avoid a bitter aftertaste.
- Espinafre bebê - Fresco espinafre is the best, but you can also use trimmed kale.
- Leite de amêndoa Ou qualquer leite sem lactose you love, like coconut milk or hemp milk.
- Spirulina em pó – You can use blue spirulina or green spirulina. Both have very similar properties.
- Sementes de cânhamo - As sementes de cânhamo or any seeds you like, chia seeds or flaxseeds. Seeds are good sources of gluten-free, vegan protein, and they also bring lots of nutrients like magnesium, zinc, and more!
- Maple Syrup - Xarope de bordo is optional. I use it because I love sweet smoothies so I add a touch of maple syrup. You can also use a pinch of stevia powder to avoid the added sugar.
