Bananen-Frozen-Yogurt
Inhaltsstoffe
- 2 Tassen Frozen Banana Slices
- 1 Tasse High-Protein Yogurt - (Anmerkung 1)
Anleitungen
- Place both ingredients in a food processor or high-speed blender.
- Blend on low speed. It will be difficult to blend at first. Stop the blender, scrape down the food, and blend again on the lowest speed until it forms a thick, creamy frozen dessert. You can add 1-2 teaspoons of almond milk to help the mixture blend in, but it will also make it runnier. The best is to blend and scrape many times until everything blends in.
- Serve with a spoon or in a pipping bag for a lovely swirl effect.

Zutaten und Substitutionen
- Gefrorene Banane: Using frozen banana makes the texture of the frozen yogurt more like a slushie. If all you have is fresh bananas, place them in the freezer for a few hours.
- Pflanzlicher Joghurt: Any yogurt alternatives work, from coconut yogurt to soy yogurt or cashew yogurt. Soy yogurt tends to be the one that brings the most protein and coconut yogurt has the best taste for a tropical frozen yogurt.
How to Make Banana Frozen Yogurt
This recipe is ridiculously easy to put together. All it takes is a blender.

Combine the frozen banana slices and plant-based yogurt in the jug of a blender (or food processor).

Blend until smooth and transfer the banana frozen yogurt into a piping bag and pipe it in your serving cups.
Carines Tipps
- Use Very Ripe Bananas: Choose bananas that are fully ripe with brown spots before freezing them. These bananas are sweeter and blend more smoothly, enhancing the flavor and texture of the frozen yogurt.
- Freeze Bananas Properly: Peel and slice the bananas before freezing them. Arrange the slices in a single layer on a baking sheet to prevent them from sticking together. Once frozen, you can transfer them to a resealable bag for easier storage.
- Gründlich vermischen: Use a high-speed blender or food processor to blend the frozen bananas and yogurt until completely smooth. This will ensure a creamy, soft-serve consistency.
- Passen Sie die Süße an: Taste the mixture before freezing and add a natural sweetener like maple syrup or agave syrup if desired. The sweetness of the bananas will vary, so adjust to your preference.
- Add Flavor Enhancers: Consider adding a splash of vanilla extract, a pinch of cinnamon, or a handful of nuts or chocolate chips to enhance the flavor and texture of the frozen yogurt.
- Freeze in a Shallow Container: After blending the mixture is quite soft. If you like it more ice-cream like, transfer it to a shallow, airtight container. This allows the frozen yogurt to freeze more quickly and evenly.
- Stir During Freezing: For a smoother texture, stir the mixture every 30 minutes during the first 2 hours of freezing. This helps break up ice crystals and keeps the frozen yogurt creamy.
- Let It Soften Before Serving: Allow the frozen yogurt to sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping. This will make it easier to serve and enhance the creamy texture.
- Top with Magic Shell: This frozen yogurt is delicious when topped with my Magic Chocolate Shell.

This looks totally awesome and cannot wait to try i! However, just a quick question…..where does the 24g of protein come from? Bananas have only 1.1 g of protein per 100g…..is the coconut yogurt high in protein? Thank you for all your amazing plant based recipes!
Woops, that’s a typo, it was 14g of protein. To make this high in protein, I used Forager Project protein yogurt which is made with coconut milk, cashew milk and other natural ingredients.
Fresh and awesome
