I wanted to share my Avocado Banana Pudding recipe because it’s a delicious, super simple, and healthy dessert that anyone can whip up in just 5 minutes, and a great alternative to my Budincă de chia cu tiramisu sau al meu 3-Ingredient Vegan Banana Pudding.
With only three ingredients – banana, avocado, and cocoa powder – it’s perfect for satisfying those sweet cravings without any guilt. Plus, it’s vegan and packed with nutrients, so you can enjoy it as a snack or a dessert. I hope you enjoy making and eating it as much as I do!

Budincă de avocado și banane
Ingrediente
- 1 mic Avocado copt - super soft, no black spot in the flesh
- 2 mare Banane
- 3-4 linguri Pudră de cacao neîndulcită
Opțional
- 2-3 linguri Sirop de arțar
- ½ linguriță Extract de vanilie
- 1 ciupi Sare de mare
Instrucțiuni
- In a food processor, add the ripe avocado flesh, peeled bananas, and cocoa powder.
- Blend until creamy and smooth. Taste and adjust the amount of maple syrup, adding more to boost sweetness, or more cocoa powder for a stronger chocolate flavor. Blend after every adjustment.

- Avocado – Look for Hass avocados, which are known for their creamy texture. Avoid avocados with dark spots or overly soft areas as they may be overripe or bruised. They would add a bitter taste to the pudding.
- Banană – Choose bananas that are just starting to get brown spots. They should be sweet but not overripe to avoid an overpowering banana flavor. The sweetness of the pudding depends on the ripeness of the bananas.
- Pudră de cacao – I use unsweetened cocoa powder for a rich chocolate flavor. Look for high-quality brands with no added sugar or fillers for the best taste.
How to Make Avocado Banana Pudding

Combine the ingredients in the bowl of your food processor.

When the mixture has reach a custard-like texture, stop the food processor.

- Perfectly Ripe Ingredients: Make sure both the banana and avocado are perfectly ripe. A ripe banana will have a few brown spots on the peel, indicating maximum sweetness, while a ripe avocado will yield slightly to gentle pressure. This ensures a smooth texture and rich flavor.
- Blending Technique: Use a high-speed blender or food processor to achieve a silky-smooth consistency. Start blending the avocado and banana first, then gradually add the cocoa powder to prevent clumping and ensure it’s evenly distributed.

I made this today. It’s good, but next time I will take particular heed to your note saying “The sweetness of the pudding depends on the ripeness of the bananas.” My bananas were ripe with a few spots, but a couple more days and the pudding would have had a touch more desired sweetness. Yum! I added a dollop of plain Fage yogurt, a couple of sliced strawberries and sprinkled a few chopped pecans for crunchiness.

The end result was good, but i had to add milk to it because the consistency was way too thick for my blender to mix it, even after i added agave syrup and vanilla extract. Overall, i like this recipe for a healthy snack or breakfast.
It really depends on the size of your avocado and banana, if they are a bit larger, the pudding is thicker. I am glad you like it.

This was so delicious! I added some vanilla and maple syrup and almond butter for fun.
Served it with a dollop of oat Greek vanilla yogurt.

Oh my goodness! This is delicious. I did add a dash of maple syrup and vanilla extract. It was good before I chilled it. I am very excited, pleased and thankful for this recipe. I am not a big fan of avocados but this recipe makes them more than acceptable to me.
